… EMPOWERS OVER 300 YOUTHS EHIME-MBANO, IHITTE-UBOMA AND OBOWO LGAs.
The last lap of 2022 Hon Deacon Chike Okafor Capacity Building and empowerment programme on skills acquisition geared towards empowering the youths in Ehime Mbano, Ihitte Uboma and Obowo Federal Constituency, to set wealth creation roadmap for the future, held today Friday 16th December 2022 at Okenalogho Secondary Technical School Hall, Obowo LGA, Imo State. The hall was built by Hon. Chike Okafor.
The programme is focused on motivating the youths to explore the self reliance option of job creation by the impartation of the skills necessary to become effective entrepreneurs.
Deacon Chike Okafor, mindful the the level of unemployment among the youths, which contributes to youth restiveness and rising wave of criminal tendencies, came up with this programme to create enabling environment for the youths in his constituency so that they can be self-dependent, create more employment and contribute to the overall development of the society.
The skill acquisition is of two segments;
- The effective use of manure , biosafety and resultant high yield to farmers.
- Capacity building on paint production, painting arts, sales strategy and take-off support.
Deacon Chike Okafor ably represented by Hon. Vitus O. Okonkwo, explained the need for all beneficiaries to make good use of this great opportunity and not take it for granted, as such do not come by easily.
Each successful trainee gets complete start up kits and take off grant.
The youths thanked Deacon Chike Okafor for always having them at heart and promised to stand by him, all the way.
