… Promises To Build More Classrooms in The Area
The leaders of Ihitte-Uboma LGA have again assured the member representing Ehime-Mbano, Ihitte-Uboma and Obowo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor of their continued support for his re-election bid, to the National Assembly.
The leaders gave this reassurance on Saturday 17th December 2022, during the official commissioning and handover of Six classroom blocks constructed by Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor at Amakohia Secondary School, Ihitte, Ihitte-Uboma.
Leading the charge, the traditional ruler of Amakohia Igwuduasato, His Royal Highness, Eze Michael Ofoegbu, during the courtesy visit of Hon. Chike Okafor to his Palace, told the performance driven Legislator that the people of Ihitte-Uboma are not unmindful of his love for them and will continue to reciprocate that love.
At the Venue of the commissioning, the Chairman of the occasion, Chief Ambrose Onuoha (Agunaechemba) Amakohia re-echoed and reemphasized the fact that various projects executed by Hon. Chike Okafor, in Ihitte-Uboma lends credence to how much he hold the LGA in high esteem and they cannot afford to not show gratitude.
In the Same vein, Hon. Dr. Okey Anukwm, a Commissioner and member of Imo State Executive council, and son of Uboma, stated that Ihitte-Uboma has always given Hon. Chike Okafor support and that the least they can do, henceforth is to give him massive support, in return for his goodwill towards the people.
Similarly, the Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Comrade Simon Ebegbulem averred that Hon. Chike Okafor is a part and parcel of Amakohia and by extension Ihitte-Uboma and at such there’s no better Ihitte-Uboma son deserving of support than Hon. Chike Okafor.
The Sole Administrator of Ihitte-Uboma, Hon. Barr. Uche Okonkwo, the APC candidate for Ihitte-Uboma, for State House of Assembly 2023, Hon. Chike Olemgbe, and the chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the LGA, Chief Offordile were unanimous in concurring with other speakers in addition to the fact that they are committed to delivering the candidacy of Hon. Chike Okafor in the 2023 general elections.
The council of chiefs were not left out in showering encomiums on Hon. Chike Okafor for his service to Ihitte-Uboma people and to humanity, and while asking for me, pledged the support of the people.
Hon. Chike Okafor, in his response reminded the people that he has a longstanding relationship with Ihitte-Uboma people and Amakohia, precisely, dating back to his early days at St. Peter’s Seminary School, now St. Thomas Aquinas and at such he’s poised to do more for Ihitte-Uboma. In line with that, he announced that he will replicate that classroom blocks project in the neighbouring Amauzu High School.
Further more, he announced the payment of WAEC fees for all the Students of Amakohia Secondary School, Ihitte and Amauzu High School, all numbering over a hundred.
The highpoint of the occasion was the cutting of the tape to Commission the classroom blocks.
The program was attended by leaders across the 3 LGAs of Okigwe South, including the Presidents General and the GLOs. Hon. Ifeanyi Onwueyiagba, the GLO of Okwuohia and a former Commissioner for Youths and Talent Development in Imo State, led the GLOs from Obowo LGA to the occasional.
