… Charges the leaders to Deliver their booths during Election
The member representing Ehime-Mbano, Ihitte-Uboma and Obowo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor, PhD, hosted his campaign council as well as the party leadership in 3 LGAs, including the State and zonal Exco to a Yuletide party, in his country home, in Obowo, on Sunday 8th January 2023.
Speaking on the occasion, Hon. Chike Okafor stated that this annual event usually holds in December, but owing to the demise of his Father in-law, Chief Cyriacus Uwayeremugwu Okeke, KSJI, he had suspended his campaign activities and put off all manner of Celebrations.
He used the opportunity to thank them for standing by him, at his moment of and for turning up during the interment cum celebration of life of the late Nonagenarian.
In a special way, Hon. Chike Okafor thanked the State Governor Sen. Hope Uzodimma immensely for the immeasurable support given to him during the burial of his in-law. He regretted that the burial coincided with the Stakeholders meeting convened by the Governor, thus making it impossible for the Governor to be physically present during the burial but expressed delighted that the Governor excused the State Deputy Governor Prof Placid Njoku to be present at the burial, with other members of the State executive council including Hon. Prince Henry Okafor , the commissioner of Niger Delta, Hon. Mrs Ineh Love , the commissioner for House and urban development, just to mention a few.
Hon. Okafor that he organised the Yuletide on behalf of the 3 House of Assembly candidates in the Federal constituency, who were physically present and spoke during the occasion, as well as the Senatorial candidate of the party, urging the people to support and to vote for APC across board.
The event also had the 3 Sole Administrators of the LGAs in the Federal constituency physically present as well as notable leaders of the party in the Federal constituency, led by the heir to the Dr. Sam Mbakwe Dynasty, Engr. Alex Mbakwe, the first son of the late Governor of the State, who is Obowo’s greatest export to the world, till date.
Hon. Chike Okafor made available bags of Rice for each of the leaders, party officials, campaign council members and all present, and donated a cow and a huge sum of money to go with it, which was duly shared right there, by all.
As usual, he turned the political gathering into a festival of praise and worship and sang to the Glory of God till all the people departed.
