A former Secretary to the State Government in Delta, Ovuozourie Macaulay, on Saturday, dumped the Peoples Democratic Party accusing the party leadership of “impunity, blackmail, falsehood and disregard for party rules”.
This was contained in a signed resignation letter dated March 4, 2023, which he addressed to the PDP Chairman in Ward 5, Owhelogbo, Isoko North Local Government Area of the state.
Macaulay, a former Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Delta State chapter and former member of the State Executive Council under the administration of ex-Governor James Onanefe Ibori, further stated in his resignation letter that over the past years, he had “painfully endured the arrogance and misdemeanour of the Party leadership and actually appealed for a change to no avail”.
“Thus, I am left with no choice but to bow out of the Party”, he submitted.
