The National President of Imo State University Alumni Association (IMSUAA), Barr. Okey Ozumba, Congratulates Amukamara on his Emergence as NBA Chairman
The leadership of Imo State University Alumni Association, on behalf of its esteemed members most heartily congratulate one of its members, Barr Bennett Amukamara for emerging as the Chairman, Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Orlu zone branch.
The association views his election as another great opportunity for him to defend the rights of the people of the state, especially, those of Orlu zone extraction whose constitutional rights have been trampled upon.
Barr Amukamara’s emergence in this period of insecurity is a privilege to sell himself alright with a view to sustaining the image of the legal profession which can only be attained by dentifying erring members in the habit of abusing their legal calling and thereafter made to face the wraught of the law.
The IMSUAA leadership believes that under the watch of Barr Amukamara, the dispensation of judgement will not only be in line with the relevant laws of the land, but must be based on equity, justice, and fairness irrespective of who enjoys it.
The alumni therefore charges Orlu zone NBA under Barr Amukamara to look into cases of illegal arrest of Imo youths still languishing in various correctional centers, and ensures that the innocent ones were not only released unconditionally but compensated accordingly.
While commending him for making his alma mater proud, IMSUAA therefore advised him to work in synergy with his executive to be able to achieve those objectives.
