Gov Uzodimma Swears in 10 New Judges In Imo State

…urges them to uphold integrity

On Monday, July 15, 2024, Imo State Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, swore in 10 new judges, including seven for the High Courts and three for the Customary Courts of Appeal. The ceremony took place at the New Executive Chambers, where Governor Uzodimma emphasized the importance of integrity and dignity within the judicial profession.

Governor Uzodimma congratulated the newly appointed judges, noting the significance of their roles and the weight of their responsibilities. He also announced the provision of new SUVs for 16 judges, including the newly appointed ones, and assured continued support for the judiciary.

Hon. Justice Uchenna Mary Njoku, speaking on behalf of the judges, expressed their gratitude and commitment to fulfilling their duties.

The event, attended by various dignitaries, marked a significant development for the judiciary in Imo State. The judges were thoroughly vetted by the National Judicial Council.
