Nigeria’s Independence: Gov Uzodimma Calls For Unity And Patriotism
In commemoration of Nigeria’s 64th Independence anniversary, Governor Hope Uzodimma worshipped with the faithful at the Maria Assumpta Cathedral, Owerri, appreciating God for His Divine guidance and protection.
Addressing the congregation, Governor Uzodimma acknowledged the nation’s challenges but commended the resilient spirit of Nigerians, which he believes is key to driving the country forward. He called for patience and resilience, urging citizens to give thanks in all circumstances and shift from despair to hope.
“We must reflect on our journey, recognizing that while progress has been gradual, it is undoubtedly significant,” the Governor remarked. He concluded with a strong appeal for collective responsibility, emphasizing that Nigeria’s transformation hinges on unity. “For lasting progress, we must embrace the spirit of patriotism and work together for the common good of our nation,” he said.
