OZB set to Launch 1000-Man Empowerment Initiative
… As Former Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba Rep, Set to Launch 1000-Man Empowerment Initiative
In a bold move to sustain his connection with the people, former federal lawmaker Rt. Hon. Ozurigbo “OZB” Ugonna who represented the Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba federal constituency, has announced plans to launch a 1000-man empowerment initiative. The ex-representative, whose exit from office was marked by controversy, is aiming to give back to the Imo people by providing opportunities for skill acquisition and financial support to citizens.
The empowerment program is set to target unemployed youths, small business owners, and artisans, offering them tools and resources to boost their livelihoods.
Sources close to OZB say this initiative is part of his long-standing commitment to improving the welfare of his people, despite the political turmoil surrounding his ousting from office.
While some critics view this as a strategic move for a potential political comeback, others see it as a genuine effort to uplift not just the people of Nkwerre, Isu, Nwangele, and Njaba but the rest of Imo as a whole.
Many within the state have expressed excitement about the upcoming initiative, with hopes that it will help curb unemployment and poverty in the region.
The 1000-man empowerment project is expected to kick off on the 8th of October, 2024 followed by trainings in various skills.
