Isopadec Distributes 6,000 Exercise Books To Oru East, Oguta LGAs

As part of the Imo State Government’s ongoing effort to support education in oil-producing communities, the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC) has distributed over 3,000 exercise books each to schools in Oru East and Oguta Local Government Areas.

The distribution, which took place today, was overseen by ISOPADEC Board Chairman, Eze Prof. Dele Odigbo, who represented the Commission’s Managing Director, Hon. Chief Austin Onyedebelu.

Speaking at the event, Odigbo reiterated Governor Hope Uzodimma’s unwavering commitment to enhancing education in the state.

Addressing local authorities, Hon. Dr. Nina Nwulu, ISOPADEC’s Commissioner for Education, emphasized the importance of ensuring that the materials reach indigent pupils, helping to ease the financial strain on parents.

In appreciation, the Executive Chairmen of Oru East and Oguta LGAs, Hon. Chief Nnamdi Okwarigwe and Hon. Ifeanyi Nnani, lauded the initiative, describing it as a significant boost to education in their communities. They commended ISOPADEC for its continued support in providing essential resources to underserved schools.

The distribution exercise was initially flagged off in Ohaji-Egbema Local Government Area by Managing Director, Chief Onyedebelu, further demonstrating the state government’s commitment to fostering academic growth and community empowerment in oil-producing regions.
