“We Will Stand On Common Ground” – MD ISOPADEC

The Managing Director of the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC), Chief Austin Onyedebelu, has reaffirmed his commitment to fostering unity and collaboration with the staff and their representatives, pledging that his leadership will “stand on common ground” in addressing all matters concerning workers’ welfare.

Speaking at his office, Chief Onyedebelu highlighted the cordial relationship he has enjoyed with staff and the union since his assumption of office. He thanked Governor Hope Uzodimma for his support and for providing an enabling environment to resolve challenges as they arise.

“We are working towards the implementation of the new minimum wage. We will continue to work together, dialogue on everything, and stand on common ground. I appreciate the hand of fellowship extended to us,” he stated. The MD also emphasized his open-door policy, assuring that staff have unhindered access to his leadership.

The visit was a familiarization and partnership mission by the Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations, Civil Service Technical and Recreational Services Employees (AUPCTRE), Imo State Council, led by Comrade Pastor Anene Kelechi (Mrs.).

Speaking on behalf of the union, Comrade Anene commended the MD’s good works, noting that ISOPADEC staff had spoken highly of his leadership. She emphasized the union’s desire to be a “partner in progress” for the benefit of both the staff and the Commission.

Present at the meeting were the Special Adviser to the Governor on ISOPADEC matters, Hon. Hagan Oputa,
SA Project Monitoring to the Managing Director, ISOPADEC, Hon. Chief Amadi Alonzo, PRO ISOPADEC, Mr. Promise Ekeh and other aides to the Managing Director.

The meeting concluded with assurances from both sides to maintain open communication, foster mutual respect, and work collaboratively toward the Commission’s success.
