Managing Director ISOPADEC Conducts Inspection Tour.

In a significant step toward strengthening healthcare delivery in the oil-producing communities and the State at large, Governor Hope Uzodimma has commenced the construction of brand-new 20-bed hospitals across four local government areas. This initiative, spearheaded by the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC), forms a vital part of the Governor’s broader agenda to improve access to quality healthcare in underserved regions.

The Managing Director of ISOPADEC, Chief Austin Onyedebelu, embarked on an extensive inspection tour of the various construction sites over the Sala holiday weekend. Accompanied by his engineering team, the MD conducted a thorough on-site assessment to ensure full compliance with structural specifications and project designs—especially as this marks a very critical stage in the construction process.

The inspection exercise was not only aimed at monitoring progress but also at reinforcing the Commission’s commitment to quality and timely delivery of the healthcare facilities.

During the visit, the MD emphasized that the initiative reflects His Excellency’s unwavering commitment to sustainable development and community wellbeing.

“These hospitals are not just buildings; they are lifelines for our people. When completed, they will serve thousands of residents who currently lack convenient access to medical facilities,” the MD stated.
