Work Resumes On Naze- Nekede- Iheagwa- obinze Road As Reconstruction Intensifies
Reconstruction work has resumed in earnest on the vital Naze-Nekede-Iheagwa-Obinze Road in Imo State, with construction activities now in full swing. The project, which is a critical component of the state’s infrastructure renewal drive, is aimed at improving connectivity and stimulating economic activities in the region.
A key highlight of the project is the construction of a three-span bridge linking Obinze to the Port Harcourt Road, a strategic addition expected to significantly enhance traffic flow and bolster the road’s overall functionality upon completion.

The renewed momentum on this project underscores the commitment of the Governor Hope Uzodimma-led administration to delivering sustainable infrastructure under the Government of Shared Prosperity agenda.

The road, once completed, will not only ease transportation for residents and businesses along the corridor but also serve as a major access route to key institutions and communities, including the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) and other economic hubs in the area.

The Ministry of Works and Infrastructural Development remains at the forefront of overseeing the timely and quality execution of the project, reinforcing Imo State’s resolve to build enduring infrastructure for the future.
