Hon. Chike Okafor, PhD. Inaugurated as a Member of Board of N774 Initiative by Vice President Kashim Shettima
Abuja, Nigeria – June 20, 2025 – Hon. Chike Okafor, PhD, Chairman of the House Committee on Nutrition and Food Security, has been inaugurated as a member of the High-Level Strategic Board for the Nutrition 774 Initiative by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the State House, Abuja.
The inauguration ceremony, which took place today, marks a significant milestone in the implementation of the N774 Initiative, aimed at addressing malnutrition and improving the nutritional status of Nigerians. As a member of the board, Hon. Okafor will play a crucial role in guiding coordination, strengthening inter-sectoral alignment, and overseeing the implementation of the initiative across Nigeria’s 774 Local Government Areas.
The Vice President emphasized the importance of collaboration and coordination in addressing nutrition challenges in Nigeria, charging the board to work tirelessly to ensure the success of the initiative.
The other members of the High Level board include but are not limited to the Ministers of Budget and Economic Planning, Health,Women Affairs,Agriculture and Food Security,as well as the National Chairman of ALGON and Chairperson State House of Assembly Committees on Nutrition and Food Security,
