IMSU Alumni Presidential Visit to Chief Sir Vincent Nnaji, father of Arch. Chukwunonso Nnaji
Immediately after the Thanksgiving Mass, as St. Joseph’s Chaplaincy, IMSU, and as members started returning to their various destinations, the National President, Dr. Charles Nwosu, led a powerful delegation to the Nnaji family.

The courtesy visit, which took place in Amurie-Omanze, Isu Local Government Area, also had the Imo Chapter Chairman, Barr. Okey Nwelue, immediately past National Secretary, Ik Ogbonna, Vice Chairman, Imo chapter, Mrs Becky Asogwa, Arch-Comrade Cajethan Okoro Jega (KSM), past National Publicity Secretary Ikenna Onuoha, PhD, past Assistant National Secretary, Francis Ndimkoha, PhD, Assistant Organising Secretary of Imo chapter, Wilson Amaefule, Assistant Secretary of Imo chapter, Laura Ekene Onyeananam, Mrs Florence Onuwa, Mrs Marvelous Akahube, among others.
The purpose of the visit, was to celebrate a great man, who has remained unsung, in spite of his remarkable contribution towards the establishment of Imo State University, Owerri, in the person of Chief Vincent Nnaji, KSJI, a former Accountant General of Imo State.
Sir Vincent, played a pivotal role in the relocation of Imo State University, from Uturu, to Etiti, and eventually to Owerri, in his capacity as the Accountant General. This fact was corroborated by no less a person than the First Vice Chancellor of IMSU, Prof. T.O.C Ndubuizu, in our past interactions with him.
The National Executive Council, led by the President, Dr. Charles Nwosu thought it wise to recognise this great man, who though battling with health challenges, remains a notable example of dedication, resilience and champion of Community service.
A lifetime achievers award for Human capacity development and community service was presented to him, by Dr. Charles Nwosu, surrounded by two of his sons, and some community leaders and chiefs, as well IMSU Alumni members.

The family appreciated the President with a big white cock and two large tubers of yam, which is a traditional gesture, in keeping with the royal palace reception accorded the President.
