Imo State Holds Thanksgiving Service For Nigeria @ 65

Governor Hope Uzodimma has called on Nigerians to embrace a change of attitude and focus on productivity as the nation marks its 65th Independence Anniversary.

Speaking at the Interdenominational Thanksgiving Service held at the Government House Chapel, Owerri, on Sunday, the Governor said the anniversary offers an opportunity for sober reflection, urging citizens to harness the country’s abundant resources for economic recovery.

He emphasized the need to abandon old habits, stressing that “an idle mind is the devil’s workshop,” while assuring Imo people of his accountability in governance.

Governor Uzodimma also announced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will visit Imo on Tuesday, September 30, to commission the Owerri-Mbaise-Umuahia road, the Assumpta twin flyover, and the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre.

The service was attended by top government functionaries, security chiefs, and community leaders across the state.
