
Chinomso Okoroama Elected President of MESOBA Port Harcourt Chapter

Comrade Chinomso Okoroama has been elected as the 5th substantive President of the Mater Ecclesiae Seminary Old Boys Association (MESOBA), Port Harcourt Chapter. His election was confirmed during the association’s plenary assembly held in Port Harcourt on Sunday, September 21, 2025.
Mr. Okoroama, a distinguished alumnus of Mater Ecclesiae Seminary (Class of 2002), will serve a three-year term at the helm of the Rivers Chapter. In his inaugural address, he described the election as “not just a personal honour, but a testament to the trust and confidence reposed in me by this great association.” He pledged to uphold the values of MESOBA and lead with integrity, promising to serve a single term dedicated to impactful leadership. As part of his administration’s vision, Okoroama aims to elevate the association’s profile to international recognition. He also unveiled plans for a transformative beautification initiative, intended to enhance the landscape and heritage of the seminary.
A native of Elekenowasi, Obohia in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, Mr. Okoroama holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Technology from Imo State University (2008). He completed his National Youth Service at NAFDAC Enugu and currently serves as a staff member of the agency. He holds the position of National Auditor for the Medical and Health Workers Union of NAFDAC. Mr. Okoroama is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST) and a seasoned regulatory officer.
Mr Okoroma is a seasoned administrator with many years of experience and exposure. He has undergone extensive training in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in Nigeria, China, Bangladesh, South Africa, and India. He has also participated in key international conferences, including the World Conference on Nutrition and Food Science (Vienna, 2011) and the International Food Safety Conference (Ethiopia, 2012). Recall that in 2019, Mr Okoroama was recognised among MTN’s High Value Customers and was selected for an all-expense-paid trip to Europe to watch the UEFA Champions League, a trip later cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr. Okoroama is a devout Catholic and active member of the St. Anthony of Padua Society at Mater Misericordia Parish, Port Harcourt. He is also a committed Rotarian and multiple Paul Harris Fellow, with numerous awards to his name.
He is happily married, and the union is blessed with two daughters and a son.
