BIRTHDAY ALERT…

Happy 91st Birthday Sir!!!!!

TPl. Chief Sir Donatus C. OBIALO, FNITP, PPNITP is a Doyen of Town Planning profession in Nigeria.

He is the father of the Modern Urban Capital of Imo State. He, with other Trojans of the profession, and Fingerhuth and Partners navigated the length and breadth of the State, prepared the Owerri Master Plan and other regional plans for the sustained socio-economic and human development of the State.
TPl. Chief Sir D. C Obialo, Fellow Nigerian Institute of Town Planners(NITP) and a Past National President of our great Institute is the Architect of various World Bank Housing projects in Imo State. So when you hear of World Bank Area L, M or N, the man whose photograph is decorating this page made it possible.

Town Planning in Nigeria owe part of its history to this man who has turned 91. In 1966, he was on that fortuitous table that gave birth to the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners in Nigeria. This feat has also earned him, deservedly, Chairman Board of Trustees, NITP. The many successes and breakthroughs in Town Planning across the nation are all functions of his wealth of experience.

The Nigerian Institute of Town Planners, Imo State Chapter is most fortunate and privileged to have him in our fold. We are rolling out drums and cymbals in honour of this milestone in age, as we pray for the sustenance of the Most High in all ramifications of his life. 91 is just a step to 100 and we shall all gather here again to celebrate a centenerian Insha Allah 🙏

We are therefore calling Ndi Imo, particularly those within the Owerri Capital Territory to join us in celebrating a man, whose ideas have made your abode organized, prosperous and adaptable.
To keep his dream alive, also ensure you do your businesses of housing development in line with the provisions of the Owerri Master Plan, and other operating laws.

For us at the NITP, Imo State Chapter, our path has become a journey of Ruth and her mother-Inlaw, Noami. Your wise counsel, calm, and consistent air of reassurance your presence brings to the Chapter is ageless.

We pray and wish you well, as always, sir. Congratulations!!!!!

TPl. Austin Ugoh Ukanwa FNITP
Chairman, NITP
Imo State.
