MD ISOPADEC, Chief Austin Onyedebelu, Inspects Comprehensive Secondary School Awo-Omamma

The Managing Director of the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC), Chief Austin Onyedebelu, has paid an inspection visit to Comprehensive Secondary School, Awo-Omamma, his alma mater, where he graduated as part of the Class of 1980.

Chief Onyedebelu was accompanied by executive members of the school’s Alumni Association and the Head of Works, ISOPADEC, Engr. Ifeanyi Okanne.

During the visit, the MD expressed deep concern over the dilapidated condition of the school buildings, the poor state of the science laboratory, and the lack of essential laboratory instruments, which he described as major impediments to effective learning. He held one-on-one discussions with the teachers and the principal to better understand their challenges and explore possible interventions.

The ISOPADEC boss also interacted with the students, many of whom he discovered lacked adequate seating and desks. He assured them that the government would take urgent steps to improve their learning environment.

Chief Onyedebelu reiterated the commitment of Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration to revitalizing the education sector and promoting the welfare of Imo children, emphasizing that no child in the state should be denied access to quality education due to poor infrastructure or lack of learning facilities.
