Crisis Hit Federal Government Girls College, Owerri, Parents Teachers Association (PTA) Election Again, As the Principal Mrs. Obiagwu F.C And Dr Ifeanyi Nwachukwu Scheme To Bypass Electoral Committee.
Recall that the election earlier fixed for Sunday June 15th, 2025 was postponed for similar reasons. The lack of funding for the electoral committee is another ploy to elongate the tenure of the Electoral Committee led by Dr. Ifeanyi Nwachukwu.
The 5-Man electoral committee, on Thursday 30th October 2025, in the face of obstacles set on their way, by the management decided to hand-off the process.
They wrote:

DEAR PARENTS AND TEACHERS OF FEDERAL GOVERNMENT GIRLS’ COLLEGE OWERRI COMMUNIQUÉ FROM THE ELECTORAL COMMITTEE
Recall that on the 11″ day of October, 2025, during the congress, a five man electoral committee was constituted to oversee the election of PTA executives Scheduled for 31- October, 2025.
In pursuant to this assignment, the committee has put all necessary measures in place to ensure a credible, free and fair election. But to the dismay of the committee members, the P,T.A caretaker committee and the school management hijacked the entire process:
As at the time of writing this communiqué, we have not received any material, fund to print ballot papers, ballot boxes, inks and other logistics except the sum of N 150,000 sent through Engr. Anaele Onuoha to the committee tagged siting allowance. The said money was sent at exactly 11:50AM, 30″ October, 2025, less than 24 hours to the election.
We have therefore resolved, to protect our integrity and that of the parents that nominated us by handing off the election process. We can no longer guarantee a credible, free and fair election.
