ISOPADEC Managing Director, Chief Austin Onyedebelu Gets Resounding Vote of Confidence from Oru-East Traditional Rulers

Traditional rulers from Oru-East Local Government Area have given a resounding vote of confidence to the Managing Director of the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC), Chief Austin Onyedebelu. The endorsement came during a courtesy visit by the royal fathers to his office.

In his response, Chief Onyedebelu expressed appreciation to His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, for his visionary leadership and the confidence reposed in him to serve at ISOPADEC. He assured the traditional rulers that the governor has far-reaching plans to further transform Oru-East and other oil-producing areas in Imo State.

Chief Onyedebelu revealed that Governor Uzodimma has initiated comprehensive plans to upgrade all government secondary schools and hospitals in the oil-producing regions, reaffirming his commitment to making the area a model of excellence. He noted that, through ISOPADEC, modern six-classroom blocks have been constructed in every community as part of the administration’s drive to improve educational infrastructure.

Highlighting other landmark projects in Oru-East, Chief Onyedebelu mentioned the Mother and Child Hospital at Awo-Omamma, the University of Innovation, Science and Technology at Omuma, the Dr. B. U. Nzeribe State Polytechnic at Awo-Omamma, and the ongoing rehabilitation of major roads in the region.

“Eyes have not seen, neither have ears heard all the good plans His Excellency has for the region,” he stated. “We are concluding the construction of primary schools and hospitals soon, and roads will also be a major priority. Under His Excellency’s leadership, we will achieve remarkable feats in record time.”

Chief Onyedebelu urged the traditional rulers to remain patient and steadfast, assuring them that the governor has their best interests at heart.

“We are committed to working tirelessly to ensure that the oil-producing areas receive the development they truly deserve,” he affirmed.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Oru-East Traditional Institution, HRH Eze Philip Uzodimma (Ononenyi of Ozu-Omuma), represented by HRH Eze Ambassador Kelvin N. Ndujife (Ebubeagu of Amagu), commended Governor Uzodimma for exceeding expectations in governance and for appointing credible sons of Oru-East into key positions of responsibility.

The traditional rulers expressed their gratitude for the governor’s visionary leadership and reiterated their unwavering support for his administration. They also appealed for the creation of additional local government areas from Oru and for improved welfare packages for traditional rulers in the region.

The visit concluded with prayers of goodwill and favor for Chief Onyedebelu, symbolizing the royal fathers’ unity, support, and vote of confidence in his leadership.
