Egbuoma Igwe-elect,chief Sunny Ejesieme Mobilises Support For Befitting Burial Of Late Eze Anogbuomba Okorie Ogbuehi Of Egbuoma Ancient Kingdom

The Igwe-elect of Egbuoma Ancient Kingdom and the head of Ozo title holders(Ndi Nze Na Ozo Egbuoma) of Egbuoma Ancient Kingdom of Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State,Chief, Nze, Sunday N Ejesieme (Osisi Ka Nkwu) has called on the people of Egbuoma Ancient Kingdom both home and Diaspora to come together, rally support and participate fully in the royal burial of the immediate past traditional ruler of the Community,His Royal Highness,Eze Anogbuomba Okorie Ogbuehi who had joined his ancestors.

According to the United States of America based philanthropist and top Nursing officer, the late traditional ruler served the community for more than four decades with utmost diligence and commitment and as such deserves a befitting communal burial as a king and traditional leader.He posited that it is the duty of Egbuoma Ancient Kingdom to organize the royal burial which he described as the last Ofala cum royal outing for the transited monarch.

Chief Nze Sunday Ejesieme whose emergence as the Igwe-elect of Egbuoma Ancient Kingdom to replace the departed traditional ruler has continued to elicit widespread support across the board had already received the traditional ritual blessing and endorsement of the Ehi Royal Dynasty of Umuehi Village who are the custodians of Egbuoma Royal throne and staff(ofor),had through a video podcast circulated online,declared that the idea of a communal burial for their late traditional ruler was rooted in the Egbuoma culture and tradition.

Chief Ejesieme stated that the people of Egbuoma are well known for strict adherence to their highly cherished cultural values and traditions which he acknowledged that communal contributions for befitting burial for deserving leaders and community members have been part of their culture.He gave vivid instances with previous burials like that of Chief Eric Ogbonna, former traditional prime Minister whose burial attracted a mass return of Egbuoma people from far and near.He further referenced existing burials arrangements that were usually anchored by age grades when their members die and justified the on going communal burial arrangement for the late Eze on the ground that the late Eze outlived his mates and therefore has the entire Community his survivors to perform the sacred duty for him.

The ebullient Igwe-elect and philanthropist added that it is noble and worthy for the illustrious indigenes of the area to have organized themselves into various Committees to raise funds and facilitate a befitting communal burial for their illustrious traditional ruler.He expressed appreciation to those that have contributed in different ways to honor the late King and called for a mass return of the indigenes to make the burial a huge success.
