
Gov Uzodimma Oversees Peaceful Southeast APC Zonal Congress As Arodiogbu, Ajih Emerges
The South East All Progressives Congress (APC) Zonal Congress held in Enugu on Wednesday ended peacefully, with party leaders and delegates commending the rancour-free process that produced new zonal executives.
The exercise, overseen by Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, adopted a consensus approach in line with the APC constitution.
Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu was re-elected as APC National Vice Chairman (South East), while Chief Innocent Azuoba emerged as Zonal Secretary. Other elected officials include Barr. Ernest Mayor Ogbonna (Legal Secretary), Hon. Henry Onwuahaluonye (Publicity Secretary), Barr. Chima Kenneth Ogbonna (Youth Leader), Dr. Nwachukwu Stanley Chinedu (PWD Leader), Dr. Oby Ajih (Woman Leader), and Chief Arinze Ikedife (Organising Secretary).
Uzodimma, alongside Governors Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi) and Peter Mbah (Enugu), as well as other party leaders, guided the process, which drew a large turnout of stakeholders from across the zone.
Speaking at the event, Uzodimma commended party members for their unity and support for President Bola Tinubu, expressing confidence in the party’s strength ahead of the 2027 elections.
The event was attended by top party figures, including former Senate President Ken Nnamani, lawmakers, and other key stakeholders.
