First Sports University in Africa Holds Matriculation
Ned Nwoko’s University holds combined matriculation
Sport University of Nigeria (SUN) located in idumuje-Ugboko, Delta State, holds its first and second combined matriculation today 5th March, 2025 at the University auditorium.
Founded by Sen prince Ned Nwoko, the sport University offers concurrently conventional degree programme at least one skills in any of the chosen Sport for students.
Students of the university thrive both in academic and athletic, forging a new path for future generation of scholars and athletes.
Speaking during the matriculation, the vice Chancellor of the university prof. Nduka Uraih encourage the students to place importance in their studies and ultilize the opportunity of being the first student on campus of a sport University in sub-saharan Africa.
Founder and chancellor of the university Sen prince Ned Nwoko reaffirmed his commitment to the institution and the importance of education in Africa’s future. He noted that the university is designed to nurture students in academics and sports in order to place the continent Africa high in the sporting world.
Sport University of Nigeria idumuje-ugboko is the first sport University in Sub-saharan African and 13th in the world.
