

Alumni Donates Millions Worth of Sanitation Equipments to Mater Ecclesia Seminary, Nguru Mbaise
The leadership of Mater Ecclesia Old Boys Association, Port Harcourt Chapter visited their Alma Mater, on Sunday 30th November 2025, to give back to the institution.

The group, under the able leadership of Comrade Chinomso Okoroama arrived the premises of the over four decades old Seminary, early enough the join the 8am devotion, before the Mass started at 8:30am.
The team which also had the immediate past President of the Association, other members, including friends, like Ik Ogbonna and Francis Ndimkoha, who are both lecturers in Federal tertiary institutions.
Delivering his remarks, Comrade Chinomso Okoroma challenged the young Seminarians to be above board, and live up to expectations, as the future of the Universal church. He averred that though most of them may not end up with ordination, yet the Seminary formation will go a long way to shape their lives, forever.
He stated that the association thought it wise to support the cleanliness effort of the management of the Institution by donating 20 United of 300 litres waste disposal bins, as well as exercise books and cash donations.
Responding, the Rector, Mater Ecclesia Seminary Nguru Mbaise, Rev. Fr. Marcel Asika expressed his gratitude to the Chinomnso Ama led Port Harcourt Chapter of the Alumni, for carrying out such an intentional project, within one month of assumption of office.
Recall that the Comrade Chinomso Okoroama led administration is barely a month, and is determined to make a difference.
The Rector, while thanking them for remembering where they’re coming from, offered prayers for their occupation and aspirations, then urged them to continue to be good ambassadors of the institution, as they’re now an inspiration and model for the younger ones.
The high point of the occasion was the cutting of the tape, and presentation of the Waste bins and educational materials by Comrade Chinomso Okoroama, to the applause of all and sundry.
