Chief Achike Udenwa the governor of Imo State who Ebere Udeagu served as a former Deputy has in a condolence message to his family described the death of his former deputy as saddening and a great loss not just his family, but the entire Igbo race and Imo people in particular.
Ex-Governor of Imo State in a release signed by his media aide Peter Agba Kalu described late Udeagu as a trustworthy and dependable colleague, as the desire to serve his people was all that motivated him into politics. Ebere Udeagu who passed on at the age of 79 had served as deputy governor to Achike Udenwa from 1999 to 2007.
A trained water engineer, he hails from Ihube in Okigwe local government area of Imo State.
Udeagu according to reports, died in the evening of Sunday 9th October at Owerri.
