Chief Austin Onyedebelu Assumes office As ISOPADEC MD
… Meets with the management team, undertakes facility tour.
With the mindset of a consummate private sector employee, Chief Austin Onyedebelu (Ezedigbomma) resumed today, as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC), at exactly 8AM.
His early arrival left the staff in utter consternation, and evidently, a sign that it is not going to be business as usual, this time around.
Upon arrival, he made straight to his office, to get ready the 8:30am Management meeting, on schedule.
The meeting, attended by 7 of the 9 Unit heads afforded him the opportunity to be abreast with the goings on, at the commission.
In attendance were head various units, including, Admin and Finance: Dame Ifunanya Macaulay – Onwusoro, Legal, Planning and monitoring evaluation, Mr. Cliff Emedoro, Health, Dr. Kelechi Muforo, Accounts, Mrs. Esomobodo, Works and Projects, Engr. Okanne Darlington Ifeanyi, Community affairs and public relations, Mr Promise Ekeh, Agric: Chizoba Okafor.
Shedding light on the vision of the commission, the Head of Admin stated that with over 300 staff strength, the ISOPADEC remains an interventionist agency dedicated to Ohaji-Egbema, Oguta and Oru-East Local Government Areas, as the oil producing LGAs in the State.
The MD, Chief Onyedebelu urged the management team to motivate the Staff to live up to their expectations, because he intends to make a mark, and leave a legacy during his tenure, in line with the 3R mantra of the Imo State Governor, His Excellency, Distinguished Sen. Hope Uzodimma, which will be easier to achieve with maximum support from the staff.
He was later conducted round the entire office complex, and he had the opportunity to interact directly with the Staff met on duty, in each office he stepped in, as well take note of the assets of the facility, mindful of the ones that urgent attention, to enable the staff operate optimally, and in comfort.
