ISOPADEC Intensifies School Construction Projects In Oil Producing Communities

The Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC) under the leadership of its Managing Director, Chief Austin Onyedebelu, has continued its massive education renewal programme with the ongoing construction of modern classroom blocks across the oil-producing communities of the state.

During an on-the-spot inspection yesterday at 9 project sites, work is actively progressing on the construction of eight schools in different communities within the oil-producing region. Each of the schools is receiving a standard six-classroom block, aimed at improving learning conditions for pupils.
These projects form part of the 24 outstanding primary schools currently under reconstruction, as well as 19 newly approved schools, all funded and supervised by ISOPADEC under the leadership of Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration.
According to the Commission, the initiative underscores the government’s commitment to bridging educational gaps in the oil-producing belt, ensuring that children in rural and riverine areas have access to quality and conducive learning environments.
