
Enyioha Chris Anyanwu, PhD, Speaks, As Stanley Amuchie Chairs Inauguration Of The 19th Executive Committee Of The Institute Of Chartered Accountants Of Nigeria (ICAN), Owerri And District Society

Lady Ifeyinwa E. Law-Biaduo, FCA, PhD, was formally inaugurated as the 19th Chairman of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Owerri and District Society during a colourful ceremony held on 27 June 2026 at the Event Centre, Grand Amari Graceland Estate, FHA, Owerri, Imo State.

The inauguration ceremony was chaired by Mr. Stanley Chiedoziem Amuchie, FCA, HCIB, Executive Director of Fidelity Bank Plc.
The event attracted distinguished personalities from various sectors of society, including senior government officials, business moguls, political leaders, captains of industry, members of the academic community, accounting professionals, and other respected guests.
Given Lady Law-Biaduo’s active membership in the Catholic Church and the Knights of St. John International, as well as the involvement of her husband, Chief Lawrence Biaduo, members of the Knights of St. John International and several other organizations were well represented at the occasion.
In his goodwill message, the Chairman of the inauguration, Mr. Stanley Chiedoziem Amuchie, who was unavoidably absent due to official engagements and was represented by Mr. Chris Anyanwu, PhD, a financial consultant, commended Lady Law-Biaduo for her impressive academic achievements and outstanding leadership qualities.
He described her as a dedicated team leader and, from his knowledge, the first female Chairman of the ICAN Owerri and District Society. He encouraged her to surpass the expectations of members by providing visionary leadership that would advance the Institute and positively impact society.
Lady Ifeyinwa E. Law-Biaduo, FCA, PhD, earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (Enugu Campus). She also obtained a Diploma in Data Processing from the Institute of Data Processing Management, London, a Diploma in Financial Management Technology from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), and both a Master’s Degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Banking and Finance from Imo State University, Owerri. She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
In her acceptance remarks, Lady Ifeyinwa Law-Biaduo expressed profound appreciation to her husband, Hon. Nze Lawrence Biaduo, for his unwavering support throughout her academic and professional journey and for his invaluable contribution to the success of the inauguration ceremony. She described his dedication to family, humanity, and community development as exceptional.
She also appreciated the immediate past leadership of the ICAN Owerri and District Society and thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the event. She prayed for God’s abundant blessings upon them and pledged to provide purposeful leadership and add significant value to the Institute during her tenure.
