
Lokpobiri To Co- Host International Energy Forum Ministerial, Champion Nigeria’s Investment Potential At WPC Energy Congress
The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri, Ph.D., will co-host the 17th International Energy Forum (IEF) Ministerial Meeting alongside Italy’s Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on October 11, 2026. The Minister will also participate in the 25th WPC Energy Congress, where he will chair a Nigerian Investment Forum and join a ministerial panel on global oil matters.

The IEF Ministerial will convene energy leaders to deliberate on global energy security, market stability, investment confidence, and the evolving dynamics of international energy markets.
Sen. Lokpobiri will use the platforms to highlight Nigeria’s commitment to building a competitive, transparent, and investor-friendly petroleum industry, supported by reforms under the Petroleum Industry Act, improved regulatory certainty, and initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and production.
At the Nigerian Investment Forum, he will engage prospective investors and industry stakeholders on opportunities across exploration, production, infrastructure, and the broader petroleum value chain.
Through these engagements, Nigeria will reaffirm its commitment to constructive global energy dialogue while advancing energy security, economic growth, and mutually beneficial partnerships.
