… As he Commissions the Comprehensive Primary Health Centre, Amuzi, Obowo.
Today, the member representing Ehime-Mbano, Ihitte-Uboma, and Obowo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor flagged off his free medical outreach, which was declared open the Hon. Barthy Okorochukwu, the Honourable Commissioner for Health Insurance, ably represented by Dr. Hyacinth Emele.
The event also featured the commissioning of the Ogbotoukwu Health Centre, also known as the Comprehensive Primary Health Centre, Amuzi, Obowo, by the Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emeka Nduka. And the commissioning of the water project in the facility, by the Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Mrs. Ineh Love . The Doctors Quarters was also commissioned by the Deputy Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, ably represented by Hon. Kennedy Ibeh.
In attendance were various commissioners, House of Assembly members, all the Presidents General of the 22 Autonomous communities in Obowo LGA, past and present LGA chairmen and Sole Administrator of the LGA, party leaders at the LGA and ward levels, community leaders, and palace chiefs who stood in the gap, in the absence of the late traditional ruler of the community, who was part of the history of that Health Centre, having approved the land for the construction of that health centre.
Over 400 patients were immediately attended to, after the flag off.
The Free Medical outreach, for Obowo continues till Saturday 10th December 2022.
The train will move to Ehime-Mbano LGA on 13th December, 2022.
