In total submission to the supremacy of God Almighty, the good people of Imo State from all works of life gathered today at Heroes Square, offering prayers and supplications to God Almighty.

The Prayer Convention which had musical ministrations from Gospel artists such as Chioma Jesus and Mercy Chinwo, was graced by His Excellency the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma.

Imolites expressed happiness over the timely intervention of God in the wake of insecurity and his restoration of peace and calmness. They prayed for more of His wisdom on the government as they pilot the affairs of the people.

Leading the scriptural ministration, the senior member of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Imo State Chapter expressed happiness over the sustained christendom on believers which is evident in the turnout of crowd.

The atmosphere was filled with spirituality as people expressed joy towards the tranquility in the State, as well as economic activities normalizing.

Governor Uzodimma in the company of the Inspector General of Police Alkali Baba Usman, who was earlier received at the Sam Mbakwe Exco Chamber, paid a condolence visit to the Nigerian Police Force, Imo State Command over the death of their Officers and men during the period Imo State experienced security challenges.

Speaking to members of the families present, whose loved ones paid the ultimate price while ensuring safety of lives and properties of Imo citizens, Governor Uzodimma consoled and sympathized with them for their loss. While commending the Nigerian Police Force and other security agencies for their gallantry, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma assured them of the Shared Prosperity Government’s support to the agencies their fight against crimes.

The Governor used the opportunity to donate security vehicles and a premises for the Joint Security Operations in the State which was commissioned by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman.
