The Candidate of the Labour Party for the 2023 general elections, for the Imo North Senatorial District, Nwachukwu Okorondu has written to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) alleging forgery of withdrawal letter and fake affidavit supposedly deposed by him.
Okorondu, through his lawyers, says that he never withdrew from the contest nor swore to affidavit for that matter.
During the week, stories emerged about how the candidate’s name was replaced with that of a certain Ifeanyi Araraume Jnr, the Okigwe zone Senate ticket.
Araraume had unsuccessfully contested Senate Primaries in the PDP, in May 2022.
