Hon Minister of State for Education, Rt Hon Goodluck Nanah Opiah, becomes Ambassador of LEARN,
Honoured at The National Launch of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Leveraging Education Assistance Resources in Nigeria, (LEARN) to Read Project at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja.
In his keynote address at the occasion, the Minister said that the Nigeria education system packaged by the Ministry is focused on preparing its children for the responsibilities of citizenship and national development.
Said he “our national policy on education recognizes education as an instrument per excellence for engineering national change, building character and sustainable development.
“We are all aware of the fact that no nation or society can progress beyond its education system. This is because education serves as the spring board for development”
