Before the coming of Gov. Hope Uzodimma, the last time a President ever commissioned a project in Imo State was 2008, when President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua was in Imo, for a State visit.
Throughout the Jonathan administration, he visited Imo State twice, and both were to commission decampees into his party.
By tomorrow, President Buhari would be in Imo State, to commission more projects, making it the third year, in a row, that he’ll be physically commissioning projects done by Gov. Hope Uzodimma. This is asides the projects he commissioned virtually, during the COVID-19 era.
President Buhari would go down in history as the Nigerian President to have commissioned more projects, in Imo State, than all past Presidents put together.
Gov. Hope Uzodimma shares this same record.
And what’s more, the projects are meaningful and incontrovertibly of the essence to the people of the State.
