Hon. Chike Okafor  Talks Tough As Reps Committee Hosts Annual Finance Stakeholders Roundtable

… Harps on the need to bequeath a viable Finance template to the next administration

The member representing Ehime-Mbano, Ihitte-Uboma and Obowo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Chike Okafor has charged stakeholders in finance to rise to the occasion, as the nation anticipates a new leadership and leave behind a legacy of a viable Finance template to the next administration to ease their take off.

Hon. Chike Okafor, though a participant, as a member of the House of Representatives Committee on Finance and owing to his background as a quintessential banker, with a first degree Economics, a Masters in Business administration and a Doctorate Degree in a related field and as well, a former commissioner for finance in Imo State, he doubles as a resource person, in the 3 day Annual Finance Stakeholders’s round-table which started on Friday 26th and runs to Sunday 28th May 2023 in Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

The roundtable usually put together by the House of Representatives Committee on Finance has attendees who usually drawn from the Federal Ministry of Finance such revenue generating agencies under it like the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Customs, etc,

It is believed that the Stakeholders roundtable is a conscious effort by the House of Representatives to ensure a hitch free take off and smooth running of the next administration, especially as Hon. James Falake is the Chairman of the House Committee on Finance and a key director in the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Campaign.

The Finance roundabout is in its second day and expected to come to and end on Sunday 28 of May 2023.
