The member Representing Ehime Mbano, Ihitte-Uboma and Obowo Federal Constituency, in the House of Representatives, Hon. Chike Okafor, in his capacity as Chairman House committee on Nutrition and Food Security, recently met with the Hon. Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari.
The crux of the meeting was mainly on areas of developmental collaboration with the Ministry, for the benefit of his Constituency, in particular and Nigeria in general.
The Minister, a seasoned Legislator, having served both in the House of Representatives and the Senate, understands that after the period of budget defence, before the legislature, comes the period of budget implementation.
The meeting had the purest of intentions, and timely too, as both parties are very upbeat about the outcome, for the good of the generality of Nigerians.
The meeting also had the Clerk, Committee on Nutrition and Food Security and the Ag.Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, in attendance.
Also discussed and agreed upon was the projects and programmes the ministry will carry out in Ehime Mbano, Ihitte Uboma Obowo Federal Constituency within the current fiscal year, as Hon. Chike Okafor does not mince words when he says that the reason for holding political office, is to bring development to your immediate constituency.
