Trust God Over Everything Says Hon. Chike Okafor At Orlu Anglican Diocesan SYNOD
The member representing Ehime Mbano Ihitte Uboma and Obowo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor PhD, was, On Saturday 23rd May 2026, the SYNOD Lecturer, for Anglican Diocese of Orlu.
The SYNOD, which was presided over by the Bishop, Rt. Rev. Benjamin Chinedum Okeke, took place at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Okwudor, Njaba Local Government Area, Imo State.
Hon. Okafor who despite his party assignment, as Oru-East Local Government Area Collation officer for the Presidential primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made out time and insisted on delivering the SYNOD lecture, on schedule, before proceeding to Oru-East LGA, for the Primaries.
Hon. Chike Okafor, speaking on the theme of Trusting God, addressed the issue of Trust, from various perspectives of life, with emphasis on Trusting God in difficult moments and adverse situations.
He urged the church to continue to be a beacon of hope and motivate Christ faithfuls to always Trust in God.
Hon. Chike Okafor was overwhelmed by the standing ovation he received from the SYNOD and Knights, including the Bishops in attendance, as he concluded his lecture.
He also offered material support for the Presidential address of the Bishop, which is ceremonial address at such gatherings.
Responding, the Lord Chancellor, Hon. Justice Goddey Anunihu thanked Hon Chike Okafor for his morally and spiritually uplifting lecture, stating that it is rare to see a Christian, who retains the very essence of Christian living, and proudly exhibits it, despite being an active politician for over a decade.
Hon. Chike Okafor, after the lecture, presented a copy, officially to the Bishop, and pleaded to be allowed to run along, to fulfil his obligation to his political party, as earlier indicated.
