Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor Pays WAEC Registration Fees for Students in Ehime-Mbano Local Government Area
Over the weekend, the member representing Ehime-Mbano, Ihitte-Uboma and Obowo Federal Constituency, in the House of Representatives, Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor PhD, in keeping with his social contract with his constituents, paid WAEC registration fees for students across the LGA.
Usually, the target beneficiaries of this programme are the indigent and the poorest of the poor, who are carefully nominated by the team in charge, through various leaders in the Local Government Area, ranging from the religious, the opinion leaders, the traditional rulers and the political class.
Some years ago, it was in Ehime-Mbano LGA, that a particular student from Umuakagu, was jointly nominated by the traditional ruler, His Royal Highness, Eze Emmanuel Ibechi, Akagu of Umuakagu and someone else, though unknown to eachother, and this reinforced the fact that the student was indeed, deserving, because when they went fetch him, to receive the registration fee, he was nowhere to be found, as he had gone into the bush, to fetch palm nuts, which he intended to sell and raise his WAEC fees.
Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor, asides this programme, has ongoing classroom blocks under construction in the three LGAs, adding to the number he has done from inception, and he also gives university scholarship to select high fliers in the constituency.

Eddy Onyeocha, Councilor representing Nzerem Ikpem Ward, Ward chairman representing Umueze 1 ward, Mr. Elelia Deacon Chike Okafor campaign coordinator representing umunumo ward, jude Odoemenam, the representative of Umualumaku umuihim ward, Sir Uche Imiro Nwoke, PhD, Evangelist Ifeanyi Moses, Umueze 11, Hon. Supervisory Councilor for Education, Hon. Jacinta Ukaoha, from Agbaja Ward, Hon. Chief. E . E Osuagwu, NZe Uchenna Mbagwu, Hon. Mrs. Caro Anyanwu, Chief Eric Nwosu, Hon. Chief Kelechi Iwueze (Ahaejiagamba), Hon. Emeka Nkume and many other leaders, parents and guardians too numerous to mention.
