Gov Uzodimma To Build A New Hospital in mbano lga as reverend sisters Echo: “Dee Sam Mbakwe ebilitele n’onwu”

Governor Hope Uzodimma has announced plans to build and equip a brand-new hospital in Mbano Local Government Area as part of his administration’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery, in Imo State. This was disclosed by his representative, Chief Austin Onyedebelu, Managing Director of ISOPADEC, during the 44th matriculation and capping ceremony of the College of Nursing Science, Mbano.

Chief Onyedebelu revealed that the governor had sent a delegation which includes: Imo Fmr Speaker, Rt. Hon. Barr. Emeka Nduka; Executive Chairman of Isiala Mbano LGA, Hon. Chika Okoroike; SA on ISOPADEC, Hon. Oputa, and others, to assess the Joint Hospital Mbano, for necessary assessment for renovations of the existing facilities. In addition to this, Governor Uzodimma has instructed that a new, fully equipped hospital be constructed on a designated site in Isiala Mbano LGA.

Addressing the students, Management, and guests at the event, Chief Onyedebelu reaffirmed the governor’s dedication and commitment to the education and training of healthcare professionals. He encouraged the students to embrace their journey with commitment, as they will play a vital role in strengthening the healthcare system.

The announcement was met with enthusiasm from the college community, with the Revrend sisters echoing: “Dee Sam Mbakwe Ebilitele n’onwu, meaning Dee Sam Mbakwe has reincarnated, in reference to a former Governor of the State, who did so well.

The new hospital is expected to significantly boost healthcare delivery and provide practical training opportunities for nursing students.

Responding to the announcement, which was reinforced by the Provost of the College, Rev. Sr. Mary Laurette Madu, IHM, the Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Okigwe, Most Rev. Solomon Amatu, who officiated the Episcopal mass for the occasion showered encomiums on the Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma for his landmark achievements saying that he is a man who walks the talk, thus he knows that having announced the project, it will be completed, in high quality and in record time.
