Eze Jude Nwaogu Hijacks Imo State Govt Security Equipment Meant For Ngwoma Obube,Diverts Materials To Impersonating PG, Power Akwazie Working For Alex Mbata And His Surrogate, Chinedu Ekeocha Who Impersonates As Eze Of Ngwoma Obube
The last has not been heard of the protracted imbroglio rocking Ngwoma Obube Ancient Kingdom, Owerri North Local government Area of Imo State which emanated from the meddlesome interlopering actions of one,Eze Jude Nwaogu of Egbelu Obube who connived with Mr Alex Mbata and hatched to truncate the hereditary Ezeship rights of the Onukogu royal family.The duo allegedly caused Mr Mbata’s errand boy, Power Akwazie to be impersonating as President General of Ngwoma Obube for the ulterior motive of imposing another surrogate, Mr Chinedu Ekeocha as the traditional ruler of Ngwoma Obube against the norms, culture, tradition and aspirations of members of the community.
According to reports available to us, palpable fear and tension is building up across the once peaceful community over the alleged hijack and diversion of the security equipment from the Imo State government meant for Ngwoma Obube by Eze Jude Nwaogu who with deliberate mischief diverted the security equipment, to one Power Akwazie who impersonates as the President General of the community and working in tandem with Mr Chinedu Ekeocha who also impersonates as the Eze-Elect of Ngwoma Obube.
In a strongly worded petition forwarded to various government Agencies, the authentic President General of Ngwoma Obube Community, Mr Ephraim Anuforo averred that on Tuesday, March 31st 2026, he went to Owerri North Local Government Area Secretariat in his capacity as the President General and in the absence of their traditional ruler, Eze A.I. Onukogu who transited two years ago, to take delivery of the Security Equipment, meant for his community from the Executive Governor of Imo State and was astonished to learn that they were signed off and taken delivery by one Eze Ngwaogu of Egbelu Obube, a neighbouring community. The said Eze Nwaogu having signed for the materials for Ngwoma Obube, went on without any consultation to divert the materials to Mr. Power Akwazie who impersonates as the President General and enjoys the full support of Eze Nwaogu and Mr. Alex Mbata.
Mr. Ephraim Anuforo further revealed that with the diversion of the materials to an imposter, a grave harm and disservice has been caused to the once peaceful community as its internal security has not only been jeopardized and compromised but greatly threatened.
According to him, the security items meant to safeguard the community have been placed in the custody of miscreants surreptitiously raised and paraded as Vigilantee Members.He said that the deliberate misplacement of these security equipment under the control of alleged miscreants who were originally recruited and commissioned as Alex Mbata’s foot soldiers for actualization of Chinedu Ekeocha’s Ezeship aspiration has heightened tension, fear and uneasiness in the area because those with the guns are Agents of an imposter and usurping Ezeship desperado.
It is feared that with the situation in place, the innocent members of the 5 communities who have been locked in a protracted Ezeship tussle with Mbata and his surrogates could be exposed to danger and targeted for harm.
A cross section of people interviewed decried what they described as Eze Nwaogu’s meddlesomeness that is capable of causing a breakdown of law and order and called immediate intervention from the Executive Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma whose good intentions are being sabotaged and sacrificed on the crude altar of unwarranted Ezeship succession tussle that is known to be the hereditary right of the Onukogu Royal family.
The people of Ngwoma Obube bemoaned the dirty dealings of the cabal led by Eze Jude Nwaogu and Alex Mbata whose activities are prone to cause skirmishes and endangering lives with the ugly diversion and misplacement of the sensitive security materials.They called on the State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma and the Chairman of Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM Eze Dr E.C. Okeke to call Eze Jude Nwaogu to order to stop interfering in the affairs of Ngwoma Obube and insisted that Mr Ephraim Anuforo as the authentic President General should have their security materials handed over to and take appropriate measures to curtail the excesses of the impersonating PG and his sponsors.
