A release by Chief Austin Onyedebelu, South East Zonal Publicity Secretary of APC says the Zonal chairman set his plan in motion, making Imo State his first stop on September 14, 2022.

With his Zonal Team, Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu, at APC State Secretariat met with the hard-working State Chairman, Dr. McDonald Ebere, PhD, his State Executives and all candidates of the party slated to contest in the 2023 general elections.

Also in attendance were all Local Government Chairmen and Secretaries, Women Leaders and Youth Leaders, along with some crucial stakeholders. In his speech, Dr. Arodiogbu made it clear that he has only one mission which is to secure victory for the party in the 5 states of the South-East geo-political zone namely: Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu and Anambra.

After evaluating the robust quality of candidates lined up by Dr. McDonald, he expressed optimism for victory in the polls. In his excitement he came up with a new slogan for the party “APC” “IT IS MY TURN”. An affirmation that as an APC member, it is our turn to deliver the party in all elections.

This came just one day after the Governor General, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma, played host to the President, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, who was present to commission some crucial projects in Imo State.

After commissioning Orlu-Owerri road, Owerri-Okigwe road (Phase 1) and the reconstructed Imo State House of Assembly, the President congratulated the Governor for the number of quality projects he has been able to complete within just 3 years in office. He expressed his happiness with the Governor’s infrastructural developments, and went further to urge Imolites to support their Governor to accomplish more in the best interest of the State.
