Sequel to his triumph at both the tribunal and appellate court following his declaration as the rightful occupant of the Ehime Mbano, Ihitte-Uboma, Obowo Federal Constituency seat, in the House of Representatives, Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor has wholeheartedly welcomed the decision of the court.
The two time Federal Legislator expresses unreserved and eternal gratitude to God,for keeping him alive, in the face of life threatening political realities for restoring the mandate freely given to him by the good people of Okigwe South, using the Judiciary as an instrument.
The dynamic lawmaker thanks the judiciary for painstakingly looking into the February 25 2023 election, in Okigwe South and laying the facts bare, thus being just and fair in adjudication.
The astute banker returns and dedicates this victory to the good people of Okigwe South, who have been through Five months of unmitigated misrepresentation and totally erupted in wild ecstasy, on hearing the cheering news, on Saturday 4th November 2023 that effective representation has again been birthed. He assures of even a louder voice than ever before and most effective representation.
In his charismatic style of politics without bitterness, Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor declares “No Victor, No Vanquished” while urging his supporters to be magnanimous in Victory, even as he extends a hand of partnership to erstwhile opponents, to bring their ideas and initiatives to join him and move Okigwe South forward, for common good.
While appreciating those calling and offering to sponsor themselves and others to witness his inauguration, Hon. Chike Okafor has called for a pause, to such calls, insisting that he is not as much bothered about collecting his Certificate of Return and presenting himself to the Speaker of the House of Representatives for inauguration,as he is for the election and victory of Gov. Hope Uzodimma, come November 11 2023. It is only after the election victory that he would go to Abuja to do the needful.
He therefore thanks the Governor for his fatherly care and support towards him and the good people of Okigwe South throughout this turbulent period, not forgetting the opportunity His Excellency’s leadership offered him to fly the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the February 25th polls and urged his supporters throughout Okigwe South and Imo State to join him in appreciation of Gov. Hope Uzodimma, by voting massively for him, come Saturday, November 11 2023, because he would rather have traded his victory/return to the 10th National Assembly for the Governors triumphant return for a second term in office.
