Following the recent controversy surrounding the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party at the National level as well as its Imo State chapter, the former member representing Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba federal constituency, Rt. Hon. Ugonna Ozurigbo has resigned his membership of the People’s Democratic Party.
His resignation is coming afrer a week of multitudes of resignation of major financiers from the party including the former Governor,His Excellency Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha.
Hon. Ozurigbo is resigning based on the several differences in the party which has become somewhat irredeemable.
Prior to this resignation, OZB had earlier consulted Orlu zonal stakeholders and relevant stakeholders in the Imo State as well as his political structure who all agred that his resignation is germane and for the progress of his political sojourn.
Ozurigbo in his resignation note wished the party well.
OZB a former Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly did not announce his next political move.
