Peaceful APC Primary In Sagbama/Ekeremor Shows Party’s Unity And Readiness For General Elections — Lokpobiri

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri Ph.D, has commended the peaceful and successful conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Direct Primary Election for the Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency, describing the exercise as a clear demonstration of the party’s unity, strength, and democratic maturity.

The primary election, which was conducted in a peaceful and orderly atmosphere across the constituency, produced Hon. Bernard Kenebai as the APC candidate for the forthcoming general elections, after securing the highest vote cast.

Speaking after the exercise, Sen. Lokpobiri expressed satisfaction with the conduct of party members, aspirants, and electoral officials, noting that the process reflected the collective commitment of the APC to internal democracy and peaceful political engagement.

“The peaceful conduct of this primary election and the sportsmanship displayed by all aspirants and party faithful have once again demonstrated that our great party remains united, focused, and prepared for victory in the general elections,” he stated.

He further commended party members who trooped out in large numbers to exercise their democratic rights, describing their participation as encouraging and symbolic of the confidence reposed in the APC leadership.

“I sincerely appreciate the officials who conducted the exercise with professionalism and transparency, as well as our supporters and stakeholders whose cooperation ensured a successful process. I encourage our people of Ekeremor and the entire constituency to sustain this peaceful spirit as we approach the remaining primary elections,” Sen. Lokpobiri added.
