Sen Kalu Commends Gov Ahmed Aliyu as He Commissions Arkilla Roads Network in Sokoto
Former Governor of Abia State and Senator representing Abia North, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, on Wednesday, commissioned the Arkilla Roads Network in Sokoto State, describing the project as a testament to Governor Ahmed Aliyu’s commitment to infrastructure development and economic growth.
Kalu, who disclosed this in a post on Wednesday, said the road project executed by the Ahmed Aliyu administration would improve transportation, connect communities and create opportunities for economic development across the state.
According to him, the project underscores the governor’s dedication to people-oriented governance and sustainable development.
“Today, I had the honour of commissioning the Arkilla Roads Network in Sokoto State, a major infrastructure project executed by the administration of Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto,” Kalu said.
“The project reflects the governor’s commitment to improving transportation, opening up communities and creating opportunities for economic growth and development.”
The former Chief Whip of the Senate said he was pleased to share the occasion with Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, a former governor of Sokoto State, whom he credited with laying a strong foundation for the state’s development.
“I was delighted to share this moment with my colleague and former Governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, whose leadership contributed significantly to the development of the state,” he said.
Kalu commended Governor Ahmed Aliyu for prioritising good governance and implementing projects aimed at improving the welfare of the people, stressing that infrastructure remains a key driver of economic growth, social development and prosperity.

He congratulated the government and people of Sokoto State on what he described as a remarkable achievement, expressing optimism about the state’s continued progress.
