His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodimma has taken his second dose of the Oxford AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine.

Speaking with journalist shortly after getting his second shot the Governor encouraged Ndi Imo to follow suit and partake in the exercise.

According to him, “I want to inspire confidence in our people that the vaccine is safe as this is my second dose.”

The Imo State House of Assembly (IMHA) has commended His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma on the full implementation of the State Assembly’s Financial Autonomy. The commendations was conveyed after a motion was moved and adopted by an unanimous resolution of the House presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Paul Emeziem, Thursday 24, 2021.

Pursuant to Section 121 (3) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic
of Nigeria (as amended) and Executive Order No. 10 of 2020, His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodimma has ensured that the full financial autonomy of the State House of Assembly is implemented to deepen Democracy in the State.

The House took conscious notice “of the fact that the Governor has complied to the Constitutional provision in respect of the financial autonomy of the Legislature in Imo State as
elucidated above and also noting that almost all the basic steps to achieving this
autonomy have been taken” as basis for their commendations.
