Ahiazu Mbaise is gradually entering a defining political moment as fresh conversations around credible representation, grassroots development, and visionary leadership begin to shape the build up to the 2027 Imo State House of Assembly elections. At the centre of this growing momentum is Sir Justin Chiemela Okoroama, whose entry into the race is already attracting attention across communities in the constituency.

Born on December 1 1989, Sir Okoroama’s background reflects a blend of discipline, education, enterprise, and community values. He began his early education at CKC Obohia Nursery School, proceeded to Central School Umuedo, and later attended Mater Ecclesiae Seminary Nguru Mbaise from 2001 to 2007, where he built a strong moral and academic foundation.

His academic journey advanced to the United Kingdom where he earned a Bachelor of Science Hons in Business Information Systems from the University of Wales Institute Cardiff between 2009 and 2012. He further obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management from London Guildhall College in February 2013. His National Youth Service from March 2013 to March 2014 provided additional exposure to grassroots realities and nation building.

Sir Okoroama has also distinguished himself through several professional certifications including General Health Safety and Environment HSE, NEBOSH, and certifications from ICM UK in Business Management and Development as well as International Business Communication.

Beyond academics, he has built a reputation as a businessman and employer of labour. As the owner of Amamol Empire Ltd, an export company operating in Rivers and Bayelsa States, he has contributed to trade and economic expansion. Through Jusek Farms Ltd located in Afara Etche, he has continued to demonstrate commitment to agriculture, job creation, and food security, areas considered critical to rural development.

A family man with three children and a 4th Degree Knight of St John International, Okoroama’s profile reflects a strong sense of responsibility, faith, and service.

Political observers note that his aspiration goes beyond rhetoric, as he has outlined a people oriented development agenda aimed at addressing the pressing needs of Ahiazu Mbaise.

Central to his campaign is the promise of effective representation, with a focus on ensuring that the voices of constituents are heard and reflected in legislative decisions. He is also advocating for stronger citizenship engagement and human capital empowerment through youth and women focused initiatives that promote skills development, entrepreneurship, and economic inclusion.

On infrastructure, Sir Okoroama is pushing for the revival and transformation of critical sectors including roads, healthcare, education, and rural electrification to improve living standards and stimulate economic growth.

In line with global trends, he is also proposing the introduction of high tech rural urban social amenities to bridge the development gap between communities and urban centres, bringing innovation and connectivity closer to the people.

Agriculture, a key component of his agenda, is expected to receive significant attention through the proposed Ahiazu Agribusiness Thrift and Grants Scheme. The initiative is designed to support farmers and agripreneurs, boost food production, and strengthen local value chains while enhancing food security across the constituency.

At the core of his message is the Ahiazu First mantra of service, a principle that emphasizes people centered governance and a leadership style rooted in accessibility and accountability.

In a strategic move that is already reshaping the political landscape of Ahiazu Mbaise, Okoroama has intensified grassroots mobilization within the Labour Party, positioning himself as a key driver of the party’s growing influence in the constituency. Through a deliberate and well coordinated effort, he has facilitated the registration of thousands of new members into the party by providing modern technical devices, including laptops, to ease and accelerate the registration process across communities. This initiative has not only expanded the party’s base but has also energized a new wave of politically conscious youths and first time participants, signaling a shift toward inclusive and technology driven political engagement in Ahiazu Mbaise.

Notably, Sir Justin Chiemela Okoroama stands out as the youngest aspirant across all political parties in the Ahiazu Mbaise State Constituency race, a factor many observers say brings freshness, energy, and a forward looking perspective to the contest. Beyond age, he is widely regarded as one of the most credible, qualified, and vibrant contenders, with a profile that combines academic excellence, professional experience, and grassroots connection. Supporters argue that his emergence represents a generational shift and a unique opportunity for the constituency to embrace dynamic leadership anchored on competence, innovation, and a deep understanding of contemporary development needs.

As the 2027 elections draw closer, stakeholders within Ahiazu Mbaise say the emergence of candidates like Okoroama signals a shift toward issue based campaigns and a renewed demand for competence and vision in leadership.

For many residents, the conversation is no longer just about politics, but about the future direction of the constituency and the kind of representation that can truly deliver development.

With growing interest around his candidacy, Sir Justin Chiemela Okoroama appears set to play a significant role in shaping that conversation.
