Easter 2021: Hon. Chike Okafor clears WAEC Fees for over 600 Constituents

Easter came early in Okigwe South.

As Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor Continues his SOCIAL CONTRACT with his constituents

Clears WAEC registration fees for over 600 indigent Students, as he has done for the past 9 years

The member representing Ehime-Mbano Ihitte-Uboma and Obowo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor  has redeemed his WAEC commitment to indigent pupils in his constituency for the year 2021.

This is a Social Contract that goes beyond politics, because it started in the year 2012, 3 years before Hon. Chike okafor aspired for the House of Representatives and is now in its 9th year running.

This year’s event happening in the week before Easter, put the beneficiaries and indeed the people of Okigwe South, in the mood of celebration, ahead of the Easter day.

In the event that held on Wednesday 31st of March, 2021 at Okenalogho Secontary School, Obowo, Hon. Chike Okafor, ably represented by an indegine of the Constituency, Lady Chinyere Iheyinwa, who doubles as the Cordinator of Deacon Chike Education Suppory Scheme, and also the Zonal Director, Secondary Education Management Board (SEMB), Hon. Chike Okafor reiterated his commitment to human capacity development through education, as exemplified in the numerous projects, over the years, including some ongoing construction classroom blocks in the 3 LGAs of the Constituency, facilitation of accreditation to deserving institutions in the area, like the Mercy school of Nursing, Obowo, payment of JAMB registration fees as well as indigent scholarship to Universities, even up to law school level, among others.

The event was witnessed by some of the over 600 indigent beneficiaries and their parents, who showered encomiums on Hon. Chike Okafor as well as offered hearty prayers for his well being and upwardly mobile destination.

Speaking on the occasion, a constituent, Mr. Kingo Anyanwu admonished the beneficiaries to be of good behaviour and maximize this unique gesture by studying hard and coming out in flying colours, the best way to appreciate their benefactor. In the same vein, Rev. Obigbo commended the lawmaker for his commitment and steadfastness to this Social contract, which he went into, with the people, despite all odds and while calling on other leaders to emulate him, prayed that God should renew his energy and zeal as well as replenish his resources abundantly.
