Just In: Hon. Ugonna Ozurigbo Writes Constituencts, Lists Achievement

Press Release

Office of The Member Representing Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba Federal Constituency

Good day amiable stakeholders and constituents of Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba Federal constituency.

It has been two days that this office published the list of Projects nominated by Rep. Ozurigbo Ugonna as stated in the 2022 Appropriation ACT.

An appropriation act is a body of work detailing all projects and expenses expected to be made by the Federal government in a particular year.

When Rt. Hon. Ozurigbo Ugonna resumed his position as representative of our federal constituency many complained of lack of transparency in the execution of Projects thereby creating a scenario where projects were difficult to track.

As a true servant leader, Rep Ozurigbo decided to change the norm and directed his media office to always publish a list of Projects to be executed every year as contained in the National Budget.

This we have done for the second time since his assumption into office.

It is on record that all projects executed from the 2021 budget where also published and have been executed.

Attached to this piece is a compendium of projects executed by OZB as at December 2021 when a Town Hall meeting was held with stakeholders.

We can also boast that of the 43 wards that make up our federal constituency only three are yet to benefit from any budget cycle and they are :

1.Amaigbo Ward 5 in Nwangele LGA,

2.Atta Ward 2 in Njaba LGA

  1. Nkwerre Ward 5 in NKWERRE LGA.

The three wards so mentioned will be accommodated as the lawmaker intends to key them into the various Special Intervention Projects of the federal government before the end of 2022.

We will also be glad to direct anyone who insists this position is inaccurate to the exact location of the projects so sited.

It should be known that all projects implemented and to be implemented were nominated by community leaders in our federal constituency who we believe are in the know of what is best suitable for the wards where they come from.

Rt. Hon. Ozurigbo has asides these projects initiated a Government to People intervention through the various empowerment schemes he has already implemented and those in the coolers which will be implemented later in the year.

While we understand the controversy the recent publication has caused we are glad that constituents have been given the opportunity to have a firsthand glimpse of their yearly expectations and the feedback generated has been helpful.

While there will be room to direct home more projects as we have one (1) more budget before the end of this tenure. When the last budget compilation for this term begins in October.
Rt hon Ugonna Ozurigbo will continue to go out of his way to ensure more and more projects are directed to and implemented in our federal constituency.

Rep. Ozurigbo Ugonna is fully focused on changing the narratives and will continue to do his best to ensure the dividends of democracy are brought home to the benefit of all.

God bless us all.

Signed
Dike Philip
SA Media Member Representing Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba Fed. Const.
