THE CONTINUED MEDDLESOMENESS OF EZE JUDE NWAOGU IN NGWOMA OBUBE EZESHIP TUSSLE HAS ESCALATED TENSION WITH HIS DIVERSION OF SECURITY EQUIPMENT MEANT FOR NGWOMA OBUBE FROM IMO STATE GOVERNMENT TO IMPERSONATING PRESIDENT GENERAL, POWER AKWAZIE,A CALL FOR ACTION FROM IMO STATE COUNCIL OF TRADITIONAL RULERS AND IMO STATE GOVERNMENT
It is with a heavy heart filled with regrets and astonishment that the people of Ngwoma Obube Ancient Kingdom, Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State write to draw your attention to worsening crisis and escalation of tension in our community due to the continued meddlesomeness of Eze Jude Nwaogu of Egbelu Obube,a neighboring Community,who has vowed to truncate the hereditary Ezeship succession right of the Onukogu Royal family following the passage of our traditional ruler,Eze Dr A.I Onukogu.
Your Majesty,it is necessary to inform you that we have been pushed to the wall by Eze Jude Nwaogu through his excesses and deliberate mischief to ensure that peace does not thrive in our Community.As a traditional ruler from a neighboring Community,Eze Nwaogu knows the history, traditions,norms and Ezeship succession history of our Community but he got enmeshed in a plot by one Mr Alex Mbata who finds him as a veritable tool for the hatchet job of truncating the Ezeship succession hereditary rights of the Onukogus .He has not pretended about his obsession to accomplish this illegality and further used his position as the Chairman of Owerri North Council of Traditional Rulers to pursue this sinister plan with all vehemence and impunity.
It is regrettable that while His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Odidika Uzodimma CON GSSRS,is redoubling his efforts in his determination to fight insecurity and ensure that peace is sustained across the State,a traditional ruler like Eze Jude Nwaogu is more interested in jeopardizing these efforts by allowing Ezeship succession politics to becloud his sense of judgement and circumspection.The height of this disservice and indiscretion of a man who serves as the Chairman of Owerri North Council of Traditional Rulers attained feverish and embarrassing point on Tuesday, March 31st 2026 when Eze Nwaogu arbitrarily and autocratically diverted the security equipment from the Imo State Government meant for Ngwoma Obube,took delivery of what belongs to another community and handed it over to an impersonating/imposter President General, Power Akwazie instead of Mr Ephraim Anuforo who is the authentic President General of the Community.
Your Royal Majesty,our guns , motorcycles and other sensitive equipment from the Imo State Government have been toyed with,play dirty politics of Ezeship succession with and handed over to unauthorised individuals who were fundamentally raised from the inception of the Ezeship tussle as foot soldiers and militia men of imposter Eze -Elect, Chinedu Ekeocha who is a surrogate to Mr Alex Mbata.The point being made here and now before the situation gets out of hand is that Ngwoma Obube guns are in wrong hands and under the control of miscreants who were neither appointed by the authentic President General, Anuforo,nor the Eze in Council.Eze Nwaogu connived with Alex Mbata and raised individuals whose past antecedents have remained sources of fear and uneasiness in the Community and as it stands, the life of the innocent members of the public, especially those opposed to the sinister plot to impose Ekeocha as the Eze of the Community by Mr Alex Mbata and Eze Jude Nwaogu.
The good people of Ngwoma Obube are currently living in fear of the unknown as this unfortunate diversion of their sensitive security equipment to the wrong persons have continued to raise tension which if not addressed could lead to breakdown of law and order.Also the members of Onukogu Royal family who have continued to pursue their legitimate right of succession to the throne of Ngwoma Obube Ezeship are currently targeted for harm considering this abnormality of misplacing of our security equipment to certified drug addicts and miscreants doing the bidding of an interloping neighboring Eze and his pay master,Alex Mbata who prefers to destabilize Ngwoma Obube at all cost.
It is in the light of the above troubling circumstances that we resolved to formally petition to Your Royal Majesty against the dirty and overbearing dealings of your Owerri North Council of Traditional Rulers Chairman,Eze Jude Nwaogu who has deployed his sacred office to aide and abett illegalities.We call for immediate reversal of this obnoxious action of hijacking and diverting our security equipment and a thorough investigation put in place to probe the ungodly activities of Eze Ngwogu who by all standards does not have the moral high ground to be a traditional ruler and not to talk of presiding over the affairs of the traditional rulers in Owerri North.His negative energy and activities will sooner than later cause uprising and social upheaval in Owerri North if something urgent is not done to stop his excesses .Our people are currently living in fear, hence lives and property meant to be protected are now exposed to more danger and harm than it was before now.
